I saved a copy of that back when she posted it, and read it to my Young Women when we had a lesson on hardship. I pulled it out and read it again on Saturday, after the funeral. I learned so much from Beth. I will miss that so much, too. Through this blog, you have allowed so many other people to learn from her as well. Thank you so much for keeping the blog. It has been a blessing in so many lives. You're in our prayers.
Sara speaks for me, as well. I was able to tune in to Beth's service by live feed. It was beautiful. My life has been touched over and over again by #TheBethEffect, her testimony and yours, Alan. I will carry those things with me for the rest of my days. You have blessed my life more than you know. Thank you for posting today. You are important to so many, including me. I remember that post so vividly. I was in awe at her strength. She really was so brave!!!
As we were visiting with you this weekend Brett took note of a comment you made. You were talking of the feelings you had of moving into your new ward in Ohio. You said you didn't want to give the members the impression of, "Hi we're the Mowrey's and we have cancer". Brett was impressed with the way you said WE have cancer.
This isn't just Beth's trial. It is yours and Ben's and Ella's and Caroline's and Lily's. Beth's part is over but unfortunately yours will continue. All eyes are now on you. That is a lot of pressure but Beth taught you and prepared you well.
I know she will continue to teach you. Look for her. She's there. And she's cheering you on. As we all are. Dig deep!!
