#BethStrong - July 16th

Not much to report today.  Beth was up and around a little today. She sat outside on the deck and talked with my mom this afternoon and then came out and watched a few minutes of the Original Ghostbusters with the family on our deck later this evening.

One positive thing to report is that Beth’s lung function seems to be improving.  Over the last few days whenever she has checked her oxygen levels they have been normal. Normal readings usually range from 95 to 100 percent. She has been around 93 to 99 percent. Just a week or so ago her readings were in the mid-80's. Values under 90 percent are considered low.

We are still exploring alternative treatments.

We talked to her doctors about clinical trials. Unfortunately she is not be eligible because of the advanced stage of her cancer.

We are exploring cannabis oil to treat her symptoms but to also treat the cancer itself. Being from Los Angeles and growing up in the South Bay we have had many friends suggest this and we have more links about medical marijuana than we know what to do with.

It was a pretty good day.

Beth decided to sit out today's Historic Kirtland 5K.  She wasn't forgotten though.
