Quick Update - Aug 6th

Quick update on Beth today. In the middle of the night last night Beth woke up and started to panic because she couldn’t catch her breath. Her pulse ox numbers (measures your blood oxygen saturation levels) were normal which means it is likely Dyspena which is a feeling of breathlessness that is experienced by many people with advanced cancer. It was very scary for Beth as there was no relief. One of the treatments for Dyspena is anti-anxiety medication which despite them making her drowsy and having lower energy levels/overall awareness it looks like they are needed. Shout out to our Home Teachers who came ove and gave Beth a Priesthood Blessing at 2:45 A.M.

Beth's struggle with breathing had nothing to do with me laying on top of her.

I am sure there is no better medicine for Beth than her loving husband by her side – or on her :), the blessing of her faithful home teachers, and her angel mother-in-law nearby (and taking the most touching photo I've seen). And I just love your sweet companion pup by her side! Sending so much love to you all. xoxo

I love the above picture!!! Sums you two up perfectly! Frozen in my mind is a similar picture from when we came to see you back in July! Alan lovingly (and very carefully) bent over giving Beth a bear hug! Precious! Please know how much we love your family!!! Praying for all y'all!
Love the Lybberts (in Indiana - not the Ohio Lybberts! But they love you too!)
